| What is a kennyliu?
Blame my parents. Blame my grandparents. Blame the genetic powers that be, the ones
that brought me into existence.
It doesn't matter where you point the finger, because it all boils down to one fact:
I'm here now and I'm here to stay.
I can't actually believe that someone would be curious enough to even come to this page,
but since it seems I have fooled you into thinking that there's something worth looking into on this page, I might as well try to entertain you with my feeble word skills.
Though I was born on the east coast of Northern America, I was raised in California,
and am therefore a California boy. I have lived in all of the major metropolitan coastal areas of California: the Bay Area, San Diego, and Los
Angeles. I don't have a favorite place to live, just a favorite state.
From an edumacational standpoint, I attended primary school in the Bay Area, high school at
both San Mateo High School and Torrey Pines High School (from which I graduated). I had a
pretty uneventful life in high school, an illustrious career at UC Berkeley, and a relatively
docile sojourn as a medical student at USC (the University of Southern California, not the University
of South Carolina). I'm currently doing my residency in Portland, OR, at the Oregon Health
& Science University (OHSU).
My hobbies are varied, including taekwondo, playing the guitar (very loudly), rock climbing,
internet authoring, skiing, hiking, sky diving, and most recently, scuba diving. As required
by the Association of Asian Parents, I also play the piano. I can fake it on the bass guitar, flute,
and drums. I have an extensive library of my own creative writing, and most of it will never see
the sunlight. My favorite genre is the short story, though I've tried my hand in novels, poetry, and songwriting.
