Peek-a-boo. I CCD you.
I started taking pictures somewhere around the age of 19, not because I wanted to be a
professional photographer, but because I thought it'd be neat to chronicle my experiences.
After many years of exemplary service by my Olympus Stylus, I recently made the switch to digital photography,
thanks to a certain benefactor.
I currently have two digital cameras in service: a run-of-the-mill Fuji FinePix 1300 (upgraded
from an MX-1200), and a sweet, little Nikon CoolPix 880.
The Nikon is my favorite. While I'd love to have a Canon EOS D30 like some people, the
CoolPix 880 suits me just fine (especially since I'm not any good). Plus, it's such
an awesome camera and it takes awesome pictures, so I can't complain (for now, at least).
I use the Fuji for trips and situations where exposing my precious Nikon to the elements goes
against common sense. It takes pretty good pictures and is a pretty rugged camera. I'm sure
the Nikon is rugged as well, but it's too nice to treat poorly.
I also use an Umax ASTRA 6450 (FireWire) scanner for capturing two-dimensional images.
