Meet Serenity.

Like a typical computer geek, I named my laptop, a gorgeous Apple Macintosh PowerBook G3 (Pismo model). It hums along at 400 MHz with 384 MB of headroom. It serves as my main computer and does its job well, from Internet authoring to digital video editing to audio mixing to mind-numbing gaming. Equipped with AirPort, Apple's wireless networking technology, this baby is a true portable, able to surf the Internet without cables. It really is an amazing machine: sleek, stylish, and deceptively simple, yet it's got several hundred horses under the hood that comfortably handle any task I throw at them.

Having used both Wintel and Apple laptops, my preference should be clear. I won't waste your time debating the advantages and disadvantages of either platform, but I will say that for me, working with an Apple PowerBook is a much more enjoyable experience, both physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Here are some accessories that I use:

• Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical
• shitty Labtec CS-550 computer speakers
• 2 GB Apple External Hard Drive (SCSI)
• 18 GB External Hard Drive (FireWire)
• Yamaha External 4x/4x/16x CD-RW Drive (SCSI)
• Microtech USB CameraMate
• Wacom Graphire Tablet
• Iomega Zip 250 Expansion Bay Drive
• Adaptec PowerDomain 1480 SlimSCSI PCMCIA Card
• Leather Carrying Case by PORT
